June 16, 2026 Main Street Clarksville Hundreds joined the leadership team from Ascension Saint Thomas Tuesday morning for the official groundbreaking ceremony of Ascension's new hospital that will be built on 96 acres at the intersection of Highway 76 and Interstate 24, an area known for many years as Boyd Farm. Community officials, along with Saint Thomas staff, and project partners gathered at the ceremony for the much-anticipated groundbreaking of the full-service hospital and integrated health campus that represents a $148.5 million investment in its community. This new facility will greatly expand access in Clarksville-Montgomery County, one of Tennessee's fastest-growing communities. The new Ascension Saint Thomas campus will include a 44-bed hospital designed to expand to 132 beds as the community grows. The project is expected to generate a $316 million annual economic impact and support more than 1,300 jobs. The Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Color Guard presented the colors, and Ascension's Chief Strategy Officer, Robyn Morrisey welcomed everyone to the event.
