I do operations at a firm based in California. I am located in Massachusetts (firm went fully remote after Covid). We used Comerica for 27 years happily. They were acquired by Fifth Third and it’s been a nightmare. We want to switch asap. We would love to use a smaller bank but I’ll be trying to set it up from here in Mass, whereas the boss is in Cali, so I’m guessing we need a national chain. We have an IOLTA, two checking accounts, and two money market accounts. Any advice?

  • “California bar has an approved list for IOLTAs. Personally I’m with Citi. They aight. Manufacturers and Citizens used to be the go to for boutiques. I think that tide has changed and I doubt they have branches in Mass.”

  • “Chase has been a nightmare for the law firm im helping set up (cancelled two accounts within a week of opening for fraud despite me being a personal customer of them for a decade). Been extremely happy with US bank.”
