  • “I live 15 minutes from this distribution center and the picture in the article does not even come close to representing the scale of it as you drive by. Its nice to see and I have noticed a lot more commercial properties putting solar on the roof in the past year here. Hopefully this is a trend that only accelerates.”

  • “I'm still surprised that more businesses that plan to be around for ~10 years don't go solar. In my research for residential solar, at least, it seems like it all evens out around that timeline. I guess long term planning isn't a strong suit for American businesses. EDIT - holy shit, look at those panels: https://assets1.progressivegrocer.com/images/v/max_width_960/files/2026-07/costcooffgriddis”

  • “Now, what if Costco provided Solar and battery product and installer options so we don’t have to deal with shady companies. That would be utopia.”

  • “with how much fpl has raised rates over the past ten years investing in solar is a clear economic win for any business that has to cool a warehouse. florida gets a ton of sun and it’s easy to match your cooling hours with sunny hours, pre cool enough to coast through the early evening, and kick the hvac back to high when rates are cheap at night.”
