Last year, my job was looking for an IT firm that could manage distributing laptops for onboarding and collecting them for offboarding. We spoke with a few different firms including Deel but ultimately chose a smaller, local IT firm that was a better fit. Since then, I’ve been harassed endlessly by the saleswoman from Deel who I initially spoke with via email, phone calls, etc. asking about why we didn’t choose Deel, who we ultimately chose, how things are going, what would convince us to switch, etc. They even found my LinkedIn and DM’d me asking who we chose over them and I get phone calls and emails still from their sales team asking the same questions. I’ve never seen a company be so persistent before… it made me worry that the salespeople would be locked in a cage for not closing a deal or something… seems like a toxic place and that behavior also makes them even less attractive. If I knew they would still be bothering me a year later, I would’ve never asked for the demo in the first place…
