Basically what the title says but since the new release from 11Labs do you think Retell is still the better option for a versatile AI voice agent with focus on making appointments primariliy for now? One other thing that makes me wonder is which is better at making more natural sounding interruptions and which is less prone on breaking during real calls. I suppose very little people can answer my question accurately since 11Labs launched these updates like a week ago lol but I still wanna hear your opinion on the matter.

  • “My advice would be to throw as many messed up calls as you can at both before deciding. Short answers, people correcting dates while being angry, interrupting halfway through the confirmation, all of that! I've worked on Bland calls where those little moments needed the most attention, so I'd like to see how the new ElevenLabs release handles them.”

  • “I’m a voice agent PM working on model & provider evaluation and while we use a more developer friendly agent framework, I keep up with these DIY alternatives. This may be obvious, but one options you mentioned is provider agnostic, this means you can use best in class transcription, LLM, and speech models from any provider, and my gut tells me they’re gunna be more transparent about evaluation a”

  • “For appointment scheduling I'd focus less on the demo voice and more on real call performance . Interruptions latency turn taking and recovery when callers go off script are probably the better comparison point.”
