I’ve been using GoDaddy for quite some time, and honestly, I used to think their customer support was one of the better things about the service. But my recent experiences have been frustrating. Today, I spent around 40 minutes on a call with a GoDaddy support executive just to eventually get an email ID where I could send my issue for someone else to handle. The executive, Mohamad Adnan, was polite and tried to help, so this isn't really about the individual support person. The bigger issue is the process. What surprised me more is that when I started looking through Reddit and other social media, I found quite a few people describing similar experiences. I've personally had a few frustrating support interactions with GoDaddy recently as well, so this doesn't feel like a one-off incident anymore. I’m curious - has anyone else noticed GoDaddy’s customer support getting worse recently? Is this just bad luck with the support process, or have others experienced the same thing?

  • [comment u/BoomlandJenkins] GoDaddy support is so bad, I provide THEM support when trying to get my client's issues fixed. We stopped using them as a primary provider (for anything) around the mid 2010s.

  • [comment u/CheesusCrustDude] I texted their help number yesterday and still haven't gotten a reply back.

  • “It's been bad for 10+ years. You used to call and immediately get someone in Scottsdale, AZ. Last time, I got a guy that changed the DNS so many times to try and prove a point that he was just flat wrong about, that he got a client domain stuck pointing to Amazon. Apparently you can only change DNS so many times in a given time period according to some regulatory agency.”
