Chandi Hospitality, acting through its real estate unit, bought the former In-N-Out Burger property from the fast-food chain for $1.8 million, according to documents filed on March 20 with the Alameda County Recorder's Office. The 1-acre site occupies a prominent spot near the interchange of Interstate 880 and Hegenberger Road, Alameda County property files show. At the time of the store closure in 2024, In-N-Out Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick said, "Despite repeated steps to create safer conditions, our customers and associates are regularly victimized by car break-ins, property damage, theft, and armed robberies." The shutdown occurred despite the location's robust performance, In-N-Out stated. "This location remains a busy and profitable one for the company," Warnick said.
