Hi just like the title suggests I got an amazing offer from IQVIA (EU located). But at the moment I am unsure if I should take it. I am happy at my current job, nice colleagues, great environment and I've been working here for a few years and still feel very positive about it. I am mentally drained (not work related) and feel like it'll take a lot of energy to switch positions. But, right now I work for a non-profit organization and I know they'll not be able to match IQVIAs offer in the least. Working for this non-profit is nice, but there are not a lot of growing possibilities and I think in a few years I will leave either way. I am reading a lot about IQVIA being very hard to get an offer from or even a response and wondered why, is it such a nice company to work for (or quite the opposite)? Also I may need to add that they reached out to ME, so it all came out of nowhere and I am very unprepared. I also wanted to add that I don't live in the US, I know things are very different there compared to here in the EU, so if possible I would like to hear stories from people that are situated in the EU:)

  • [comment u/Useful_Cod_1127] As a CRA you probably won’t need to worry about this, but IQVIA has been outsourcing to South America A LOT. I mean A LOT A LOT.

  • [comment u/Useful_Cod_1127] Worked in Europe with them for 3 years they laid me off in 12 minutes on a random day after I had just started working like any other day.

  • “I have worked at IQVIA in Europe. As the other commented said, their salaries are a bit below other CROs. They also suffer from just being a huge company with overcomplicated processes and a lot of role specialization to maximise outsourcing. Truth be told, sometimes that can still be a good career move - you grit your teeth for a bit, build some more experience that complements your CV, and the”
