I bought a iRobot j7 used a while back and it was great. Lasted a couple of years, but then started having issues. Haven't used it in a while, so I forget the main error. But it was telling me using the app via Wifi and trying to control it was broken and it had to be sent in for repair. Obviously, not worth sending it in. We're looking at getting another one. Ideally not iRobot brand. Would like it to have a station to dump the dust and mop feature.

  • “I’d avoid iRobot since they declared bankruptcy lately and not the best. My recommendation is biased since it’s the only brand I’ve explored after Roombas but Roborock has been great for me. The ultra Roborock from Costco is amazing with its vacuum and mop. I’ve always been curious about Dreames tho”

  • “I smashed my J7 to pieces and got an Ecovacs T90 and it's a million times better.”

  • “With the J series most of the time a factory reset did the trick. I have all my J series working. If you want something from iRobot again you should know they are own by a chine manufacturer PICEA. If you have lots of carpet you and don’t care for mop I really like my 705/715”
