I was looking through google flights and found a flight from Milan to Houston that fits my itinerary. On the Expedia website it is about $550. Whereas on the JetBlue website, it is about $2000 if I do the multi city option. (It does not allow me to select a flight from Milan straight to Houston). I’ve seen the reports of dealing with third parties but seems worth it for a $1450 difference?

  • “I booked flights on Expedia for yrs and never had an issue. Even during covid, when my flight got cancelled, i didn’t have to call or email. They refunded the full amount. Then 3 yrs ago, i booked a united flight and one leg on my itinerary got cancelled. It was such a headache to get rebooked. Expedia kept telling me i needed to pay a fee( i didn’t cancel that leg, the airline did) and blamed U”

  • “Yes you should as long as you understand that the price difference means that Expedia HAS to help you with anything and everything, even if they say they can’t do it and you’ll need to call the airline.”

  • “That is a huge price difference! I’d take the risk. That’s a long layover in Boston BUT the airport is very close to downtown so you could easily do a little sightseeing. You’d need a hotel. There are a few around the airport but because of proximity to downtown they are crazy expensive. Still less than $1400 though!”

  • “I’d book that if I were you. You’ll be fine just add the confirmation code to your JetBlue app/acct. It’s not a bookable connection cause it’s way over it’s allowed connection time they have built in. It’s essentially a multi trip, which JetBlue does price sometimes ridiculously but other third parties may sell it.. it may also reprice once you click through it on Expedia”
