Those with stores that have self checkout, are you able to pick up the scanners to scan items? Ours shut off when lifted, kinda defeats the purpose. Thanks!

  • [comment u/Infinite_Dog1094] We get self checkout so we can get rid of a cashier but then they expect a higher paid LOD to stand up their and assist. We could be doing more important thing

  • “Self check out sucks!!! The counter is nonexistent , people don’t want to use ( even when I beg), they still can’t figure out their coupons ( they are right there),they charge themselves multiple times for the same items… explain the logic. • “Yes you can pick them up and scan at self check out.”

  • “If it's on the fixture it will automatically scan. If you pick it up and don't hold it still enough you have to pull the trigger to scan. If it detects that it's in motion it disables automatic scanning.”

  • “Also, the flow was backward and awkward. The bags on the left should be on the right the open space to put your clothes should be on the left and then all the hardware should be on further to the right. Just very uncomfortable.”

  • “The hand scanners HAVE NOT CHANGED, they have a trigger button on the bottom, that activates the scanner, lifting it, that button IS IN OFF POSITION, so you must manually push the button to activate EVERY TIME, 1 Item or 10 Items, you have to push the trigger button EVERY TIME. its the same concept used everywhere (other places have wireless, so you must push the botton every time,) just like shoo”
