I have been researching tools for making courses. While new alternatives are continuously emerging and improving, Articulate Rise (and Storyline) seems to be one of the leading tools. A drawback of Articulate is the cost; although when selling successful courses, it is a small problem, really. Another problem is the limited interactivity, but now they have this code upload option and iframes, so even that is possible. Further problems include no TTS option, no print option, the PDFs become ugly, and other minor peeves. They have an AI option, but it is going to cost more. So I have been looking for alternatives; honorable mentions go to Mindsmith and Coassemble. Really good options worth checking out, even if they are not quite at the level of Rise as of yet. This brings me to the main topic: what if... Could I create courses in Lovable? So here is the result of my findings. The good So I began with a standard prompt, describing the layout as I wanted it and how it should work. Navigation to the side, sections, and lessons/chapters. A progress bar that moves after you finish one lesson done. Quizzes question by question, all that jazz. And... It just works. I can even connect it to ChatGPT. It can even make some interactive stuff: calculation panels, values that change with input, and so on. It practically makes the course itself while you lean back and watch. It...

Also quoted as evidence

  • The problem is, if you change the code, it tends to LOSE THE CHANGES. Yes, that's right: everything you write has a chance to COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR OR RESET.

    From the post

  • I have no clue why, but clearly, its code editor is complete garbage.

    From the post

  • Lovable clearly has a role in course creation, but I cannot honestly see it being used for creating complete courses.

  • “One angle I don't see getting enough airtime here: accessibility. I build JavaScript interactions for Storyline courses used in corporate and regulated training, and the vibe-coded courseware I've clicked through fails the 508 basics - unlabeled buttons, broken focus order, everything in canvas, auto-generated captions with no speaker IDs. A competent dev iterating with the AI can remediate all of”
