McDonald's comes to the industrial area and closes the old location

Bad Saulgau Town Talk • Reading time: 3 min. The rumor mill has been buzzing for weeks: Is McDonald's actually building a new restaurant in Bad Saulgau's Hochberger Straße industrial area? Will an additional branch be built there, or will the restaurant move from Herbertinger Straße to the other side of town? Marc Karrer, franchisee of McDonald's Deutschland LLC, sheds light on the matter. "We are relocating the site, so to speak," he says. In July, the Balingen native took over the Bad Saulgau restaurant from his father. The "McDonald's Team Karrer" also includes several restaurants in the region, for example in Riedlingen. And another location in Mengen will open nearby in November. According to Marc Karrer, the two new restaurants will be almost identical. The decisive factor for the relocation in Bad Saulgau, according to the franchisee, is the following: "The reason is definitely the improved location." The previous restaurant on Herbertinger Straße is located on a former federal highway. Since December 2013, however, the bypass has routed traffic around Bad Saulgau. Although the branch is only a few meters from the bypass, it is no longer as obvious to see when driving past.
