Article excerpt
Super Micro Computer(Supermicro) has unveiled its next-generation H15 server portfolio powered by AMD's 6th Gen EPYC 9006 Series processors. The portfolio is optimized for next-generation GPU environments, including AMD Instinct accelerators, and is connected through AMD Pensando networking technologies. Supermicro said the H15 servers support up to 256 CPU cores and 512 threads, delivering up to 1.7 times higher CPU performance than the previous generation, along with expanded memory capacity and higher compute density. The company said the systems enable data centers to run more artificial intelligence (AI) agents simultaneously while maintaining existing power infrastructure. The H15 portfolio consists of the Hyper, CloudDC, GrandTwin, FlexTwin, Petascale Storage, and SuperBlade product families. The Hyper platform is Supermicro's flagship dual-socket system designed for enterprise applications, AI inference, virtualization and cloud workloads. CloudDC is available in single- and dual-socket configurations for hyperscale cloud environments and is designed based on the Open Compute Project (OCP) Data Center Modular Hardware System (DC-MHS) specification, enabling compatibility with open data center standards. GrandTwin is a high-density 2U four-node architecture designed for scale-out environments, including object storage, virtualization, cloud services and...
