The NRW city of Cologne is getting a branch, of which there are already around 9,000 worldwide. Cologne – Fast food from the USA is conquering Cologne: Taco Bell is opening its first publicly accessible branch in Germany at the end of September 2026. The location is set: The new restaurant is being built at Hohenzollernring 50, in the former Sausalitos in the middle of the city center, as can be seen from an Instagram post. Renovation work is already in full swing in the NRW city, the kitchen is installed, and the interior design is to follow this week, as Bild reports. For customers, this means a real novelty: Until now, Taco Bell in Germany was only available on US military bases, without access for ordinary citizens. From the end of September, anyone can order regularly at the counter. The branch is operated by Feel Better Holding from Koblenz, founded by Peter Gries and Lars Krämer. Their franchise area extends from Bonn to Kleve, with Cologne marking the start (more news on money and finance at RUHR24).
