  • “I had this happened quite a few times. Had to replace my PSU at least twice. As I added more drives at least one was starved for power. I no longer have ZFS errors.”

  • “Check and try another cable. On one of my unraid servers I had a controller causing write issues. Replaced a 4tb drive for no reason.”

  • “I have a drive that has been giving me occasional errors and it the only drive with a different spindle speed than the others. I'm 50/50 on zfs being overly cautious because of that or it's true a bad drive.”

  • “Even having ordered the replacement drive, I would still remove the faulted drive, connect it to a different system, boot to a diagnostic, and run SeaTools, GSmartControl, or something comparable. If the drive comes back clean in a completely different power/cabling environment, then you likely have power or cable problems you need to address in your main system. If the drive still fails in that c”
