Alright y'all This is how it's gonna work. I'm going to do a ranking of sponsors & their FSPs. Then you guys will tell me your opinions and I'll create a new updated post. Basically, the higher the number the better it is. Roche FSP : absolutely top tier, European founded company with European work culture Amgen FSP : pretty good, just a lot of metrics Teva FSP AbbVie FSP : can be good but workload has gotten higher over the years Merck FSP Bayer FSP BMS FSP AstraZeneca FSP: can overwork you, especially if you work for AZ directly Novartis FSP: can be bureaucratic and systems are clunky J&J FSP: lots of misalignment between teams Novo Nordisk FSP Takeda FSP Regeneron FSP: can overwork you and very political Incyte FSP Biogen FSP Gilead FSP Moderna FSP: a platform without a product Pfizer FSP: Will overwork you and toxic culture Sanofi FSP Eli Lilly FSP: Will overwork you, the least liked FSP Of course, it boils down to your team, LM, and CRO, but this a general ranking from what I’ve read on Reddit.

Extracted from these lines

  • [comment u/WeedleBeest] BMS needs to be lower because they don’t have written documentation like fleshed-out SOPs and forms, and tell you to use your judgment. They also silo the departments

  • [comment u/WeedleBeest] Both of these cause a massive mess when trying to close a study, leading to sites being closed by CRAs months before Data Management even starts cleaning and querying for the database lock

  • “Amgen closed the department that manages their clinical trial biospecimens and had dedicated staff for every study, and replaced it with a mailbox where a team in India picks up emails to work on and sends you what you ask for over a week too late and at like 1 am your time zone They also replaced 3 other CRO-staffed departments with teams in Mexico, South Africa, India, etc. None of their new”

  • “J&J is shockingly not as prestigious as I thought it would be. About half of LTMS and CRAs have 0 clue of what theyre doing. Most FTE treats FSP poorly then continuously forget to review IP and LTMs only halfway review reports.”
