Highlighted: the lines this signal was extracted from

I got a call this week from a building owner that someone on Fiver is using my name and stamp on permit sets. I'm still waiting on the state board as well as the local permit office to call back, but just curious who else has had to deal with this and what happened?

  • [comment u/Corduroyjackets] Whoooo the hell is hiring architectural services from fiverr

  • “All the permit authorities in my part of the country use Accela permitting portal and require electronic S&S and certificate validation to specifically prevent this kind of fraud. I'd definitely file a police report. Fraudulent use of a license, certification, or professional credential is illegal in every U.S. state and is prosecuted under general criminal fraud, forgery, or specific unauthorized”

  • “I did once. A lawyer used my stamped drawings to claim I had done a code study for another project, and submitted them to the building department. I lost my shit. Recently also got an architect do a design where they copy pasted my details from when I had done them previously, including spelling errors and exact view names. People suck.”
