Anyone else having issues with ordering laser cut keys and they keep coming in cut wrong or defective? The last several sets I've ordered haven't worked in the vehicles and I'm tired of getting yelled at. I'm almost to the point where I want to stop selling laser cut keys.

  • “You probably just need to bite the bullet and get a key machine. We've never ordered keys from gm”

  • “Make friends with a local locksmith that has a key machine who can cut your blanks. Better yet get a count for the number of keys you have sold in a year and see if you can swing paying off a machine in 1 year by adding a key cut fee.”

  • “Im to the point of not selling keys”

  • “We have a very expensive key machine. We don't order them cut from gm, we cut them ourselves.”

  • “We have our own key machine, so luckily we don't have to order them precut. Plus we charge $50 to cut the keys which goes on the RO. However, and this might be something you can do, we have another dealer about 5-10min from us that will bring us keys to cut for them because, like you, their management doesn't want to buy one. Maybe that's an option for you if someone is local?”
