So like we all agree Honeywell sucks ass right? My time as a technician has been enjoyable, only times I run into problems is with Honeywell, and not even just me the electricians around here also hate Honeywell and their systems. How has everyone else’s experiences with them been ?

  • [comment u/KipRacc] I absolutely hate their quality control. I’ve only been doing this for 4 years, but I’ve had multiple Honeywell panels defective out of the box. And probably a dozen devices bad out of the box. Their quality control is unacceptable.

  • [comment u/Syrairc] We're an exclusive Notifier distributor and it has got to the point where I don't even want to sell their products.

  • “When I worked on fire I always had good experiences with notifier panels. The NFW line went down hill for sure but those are just firelite panels that are black rather than red.”

  • “The hardware is mostly fine (though also declining in quality and capability), the company is fucking trash and getting worse every year. We're an exclusive Notifier distributor and it has got to the point where I don't even want to sell their products.”

  • “They are going in the wrong direction. Forcing conversion to flash scan. N16 panel doesn’t have walker test and is forced to use clss gateway. Loss of alarm/trouble contacts. So many bad parts right out of the box. It’s all ways for them to make more money.”

  • “You must be high, Honeywell is the most user friendly especially Firelite and Notifier”
