I recently have been tasked to help out our Hyundai store clean up their inventory. They have an abundance of obsolescence and aftermarket air and cabin filters. I am trying to find a way to get rid of all these filters. Message me if interested or know a way

  • [comment u/Centagis] Hyundai PM here. The obsolete inventory is unfortunately very common.

  • [comment u/PickUpMyPoo] When I started at my current Hyundai 2.5 years ago, they had 80k in obso and 100 cores sat in the parking lot.

  • “What Oem part number filter? If it’s popular just sell it. Or bill to used cars and toss in the trash slowly.”

  • “Oh baby this is right up my alley. When I started at my current Hyundai 2.5 years ago, they had 80k in obso and 100 cores sat in the parking lot. From things as cheap as bolts to full engines and transmission that the previous manager ordered even though we have recall engines. We currently have less that 1k in obso and most of that is old oil filters and fluids for older transmissions we get rand”

  • “Reach out to whoever (oreilly, fmp, parts authority, etc) and see if they'll take back the filters as returns.”

  • “If they're something you can figure out the application for, just offload them to used cars. Especially if they're common filters.”

  • “Hyundai PM here. The obsolete inventory is unfortunately very common. How much are we talking and what percentage of their total OH is it? Depending on the answer I can make a few suggestions as I cleared up $120,000 worth in just about 6 months. The air filters are weird not sure why they’d even have those. Are they all from one spot? We primarily use Oreillys for aftermarket needs and do enoug”
