Hello. I have tried YouTube promotions which does bring website visits but not a great amount of signups so i dont think they are targeting the right people. Reddit from what i understand is a lot more specific but is 10X more expensive, i paid £150 for 6,000 visits for YouTube, for Reddit £1000 (£500 + £500 free credit) will bring estimated 1600 visits. So is it really worth it? will those actually bring better signups because its more specific?

  • “Depends on what you’re selling, but visits are the wrong number to compare. Look at cost per signup. Reddit ads tend to work best for niche audiences (SaaS, tech, finance, hobbies) and usually do badly when the ad looks like an ad. Redditors will ignore anything that feels polished and salesy. If you try it, make the ad read like a normal post, target specific subreddits instead of broad interests”

  • “specific targeting doesnt mean signups. test a small reddit budget and compare cost per signup before spending more”

  • “Reddit ads can work if you're drilling into the right subreddits, but 1600 views for a grand is painful unless those people are your exact customer profile and ready to buy.”
