Samsung partners with Habitat LA to help wildfire survivors move forward

Families affected by the Los Angeles wildfires are working hard to rebuild their homes and lives. Samsung, along with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA), is helping these families return home and start their daily lives again. On September 24, Samsung employees and members of the Samsung Care team joined more than 200 volunteers and community members in Pacific Palisades and Malibu. They took part in Habitat LA’s ReBUILD LA Community Build to support families affected by the wildfires. One of the homeowners receiving support is Theodore Ang. His home was not destroyed, but it suffered heavy smoke and fire damage. His appliances could no longer be used, and the house needed flooring repairs and smoke cleaning. Samsung gave Theodore new home appliances and electronics. These included a Bespoke AI Side-by-Side Refrigerator, washer and dryer, OLED 4K TVs and a Galaxy Z Fold 8 phone. Samsung Care experts also helped Theodore set up his new products. They installed the appliances, connected them to Wi-Fi and Samsung SmartThings, and showed him how to use the different features. Samsung’s support is part of a larger $1 million product donation announced in February 2025 for Los Angeles wildfire relief.
