I started a carpet cleaning business. I knew getting jobs was going to be the hardest part. I have everything I need to perform a great service, but getting that phone to ring is rough. I tried yelp, I can’t compete as a new business. All of my reviews were flagged, because I was asking for them. They say it’s not fair for other businesses 😂 Then I tried google, I dropped way too much money setting it up and getting it to work, but it barely worked. I ended up just spending 1 dollar a day on my campaigns and Ive actually gotten a few jobs from them. Google local services has been amazing, it’s a little expensive, but for now it’s keeping me going. I just tried thumbtack and it’s performing just as good as google. They’re a little more expensive, but at this point, I’m dropping about 30% to leads. Is this the average? Any tips other than doing a good job and asking for reviews and referrals? A lot of my customers are not leaving me reviews either. I’m about 3 months in and I’ve gotten about 35 jobs under my belt. A third of those were family members. Any tips or questions for me?
