Trying to get a better read on what happens in our sales conversations and where reps lose deals. I’ve looked at conversation intelligence tools but a lot seem heavy on dashboards and call data. I’m more interested in something that spots missed objections or weak discovery and turns that into useful coaching without creating more work for managers. Gong is the obvious name but has anyone tried newer alternatives focused more on coaching and roleplay? What are you using and do reps actually stick with it?

  • “The biggest issue with these tools is that they can tell you everything that happened on a call but not what the rep should do next. Useful coaching beats another dashboard full of metrics every time.”

  • “Managers already have enough stuff to review each week. If the tool needs hours of call listening before you can coach someone then it kind of defeats the whole point.”

  • “I like the idea of turning actual call mistakes into practice. If a rep keeps missing the same objection or rushing discovery then roleplaying that exact situation seems way more useful than generic training.”

  • “the dashboard stuff is mostly noise if nobody changes behavior, so i’d prioritize something that turns one missed objection from a real call into a quick rep practice session, otherwise adoption dies”
