Traveled 14 hours and went to check in at my hotel. Give hotel my name and email, they can’t seem to find it anywhere. Call trivago and they can see it on their end. Long story short TRIVAGO NEVER SENT MY RESERVATION TO THE HOTEL. Then they wanted to put me on hold for 30 minutes while they “investigate what they can do”. Ultimately called them back and canceled and rebooked through the hotel (for way more money of course) TLDR: DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRIVAGO AVOID LIKE PLAGUE

  • [comment u/sdinvest] So my guess is you booked through Trivago.deals! I have a similar experience. About 3 hours of multiple phone calls, it did get sorted out.

  • [comment u/sdinvest] Hilton hotel was very nice and helped me through it all.
