Massive portfolio reallocations by large institutional investors characterize the current picture of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). While the Japanese technology investor SoftBank has significantly reduced its position, the semiconductor giant is investing heavily in new partnerships for future sensor technology and recently recorded significant profit growth. Current filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the second quarter of 2026 show a clear change in SoftBank's course. The group sold approximately 1.4 million TSMC ADR shares, which corresponds to a reduction of its previous stake by about 71.5 percent. The sale generated approximately 269.8 million US dollars.
