I currently utilise Meta Ads however the volatility in performance is rendering it unviable main/only advertising platform. How do you find most effective to market? What sort of budget split do you use for different platforms?

  • “I wouldn’t move away from Meta completely just because it’s volatile. I’d probably use it more for discovery and test another channel alongside it, rather than expecting one platform to carry everything. Google Shopping makes more sense if people are already searching for what you sell, while Meta is useful for creating that demand in the first place.”

  • “meta volatility usually smooths out once you stop treating it as the whole funnel, we run it for cold traffic only and let google shopping and branded search catch the people it warmed up, roughly 60/40 with email doing the actual profit work behind both. if you're spending under a few hundred a day though the swings are just small-sample noise and swapping platforms won't fix it.”

  • “I wouldn't replace one dependency with another, I'd try to build a mix where no single channel can wreck the month. Paid search can work well where there's existing intent, social is good at creating demand, then email/SMS, organic search and creators can catch some of the stuff paid acquisition starts. The budget split really depends on which channels prove they can acquire profitable customers,”
