Highlighted: the lines this signal was extracted from

This afternoon I had a call from my bar manager asking why an online order came through. Like what? The owner has thought about it but we haven't even come close to being ready to offer it. I was able to turn it off but has anyone else experienced this glitch? I did speak with the owner who swears he didn't do anything to turn it on.

  • [comment u/bqueen72] EVERYTIME there is a Toast update it seems to turn back on.

  • “If you are paying for the software package, online ordering comes turned on by default. Nobody can really order if you don’t publish the link anywhere, however, your restaurant will still show up on the toast local app as accepting online orders. I’m willing to bet that rogue order came from the toast local app.”

  • “Toast Local.. I have consistently turned it off because we weren’t ready for it ( the food pictures weren’t loaded into Toast yet because have Incentivio for our online orders currently). EVERYTIME there is a Toast update it seems to turn back on. You can check at the bottom of your Toast Now app and see if it is active.”

  • “You should give Toast a call, OO is north of $100/monthly sounds like you guys are paying for a service you are not using and that could mean healthier bottom lines for the business.”

  • “If you're on one of the packages where you pay the increased percentage on your credit card processing all that stuff's included in a big package. Like others have said it's probably the toast local app. But beyond that maybe this is your opportunity to look into online ordering? I assume you serve food, etc. You're leaving money on the table if you're not offering online ordering. You would be sh”

  • “Peak Toast experience honestly. It's on by default with the package, so have the owner check the invoice too. Turning it off and not paying for it are two different things.”
